Times Litfest Mumbai 2016 : Must attend sessions over the weekend 3rd & 4th Dec

  • This weekend promises to bring a lot more glitz & glamour to the Times Litfest Mumbai 2016. Noted journalists, politicians & film stars grace the occasion at the Mehboob studio. Here’s the list of sessions that I think you might want to attend over the next two days at Times Litfest Mumbai.

Day 2 : 2nd December, Saturday

  1. Dance of Democracy From frontline specialists Tavleen Singh and Rajdeep Sardesai. 10.15 – Pride of cows hall.
  2. Being Kangana Kangana Ranaut on how women can make bold, break moulds. In conversation with Manu Joseph [no relation to Tanu weds Manu :)] 11.15 am –  Yes Bank Hal
  3. Devis and Demons Mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, Ramayana scholar Arshia Sattar, and graphic novelist Amruta Patil recreate an epic gender battle. 1.30  pm – JSW Hall
  4. Men, Women, Loneliness Karan Johar in conversation with Jitesh Pillai, editor of Filmfare, on the mushkil dil. 3 pm – Yes Bank Hall
  5. Is God a Boy or a Girl? And What About the Devil? The unparalleled Devdutt Pattanaik on his favourite stomping ground. 4.15 pm – Yes Bank Hall
  6. WRITER’S BLOCK Authors give their antidotes Today: Imraan Coovadia, Shashi Warrier, Nadeem Aslam, and Alexander Frater. Arshia Sattar moderates Times Litfest special feature. 4.45 pm, Pride of cows hall
  7. No Tulsi in the Aangan – Changing gender roles in film With Aseem Chhabra, Smriti Irani, and Yasser Usman. Pragya Tiwari guides the conversation. 6.45 pm , Yes Bank Hall
  8. PERFORMANCE Aditya Birla Group Presents Song of the Hooghly Boatman Gulzar’s translations of Tagore, set to music by Shantanu Moitra, and performed by Shreya Ghoshal. Music partner Sa Re Ga Ma. 7 pm , HDFC Lawn.Day 3 : 3rd December ,Sunday
