Raymond Crossword Book Award 2016

The Raymond Crossword Book award is in its 14th edition this year and has been the paradigm of appreciation in Indian English Literature. It is the only forum in India that gives a face to Indian authors and Indian literature,
with a well-rounded jury mining gems from the length and breadth of the country.

“Winning the Crossword Book Award was one of the high points of my writing life and the reason for that is that there is no Award like the Crossword Award…” – said Amitav Ghosh after winning the award in 2004 in the category of English Fiction.

Readers look forward to the award each year to find out which book among their favourites clinches this prestigious one. Here’s our pick of some of the favourites in each category.
