Events

Melon Splash is our initiative as a group to share the joy of visiting each one of you in person by way of Literary events and training sessions.

This gives us another window of interaction and knowledge sharing with the creative minds having similar spark. It allows us to start and subsequently strengthen the bond of shared passion and interest.

As a reader we often wonder what went into author's mind while writing a particular book, we feel like interacting or simply see or meet them in person. Most of the authors also love to network with book lovers, hear out feedback, and enjoy adulation.

We have a large pool of fiction and nonfiction writers who are eager to meet and interact with like minded audience. In the past few years, we have been to various college campuses, offices & lit clubs all around the country and have enjoyed the company of some extremely talented writers and creative minds.

ECONOMICS THROUGH HISTORICAL LENSE

As the fable goes, in the summer when the ants were busy gathering food, grasshoppers lived a carefree life. Come winter, the ants lived off their store, while the grasshoppers were left starving. It appears that this lesson was eventually learnt by humans, who shifted from hunting and gathering to agriculture. The Wisdom of Ants that they borrowed did not end here but helped to lay the foundation of economics as a distinct discipline. This book takes the reader through the history of economics through the ages and the four major world civilisations: European, Islamic, Indian and Chinese, pointing out the ways in which we think of economics today were formed.
In the process, Shankar Jaganathan asks us to question our ideas of the importance of economics and its ability to drive the world.
The Wisdom of Ants views economic ideas through an ethical, social and political lens, allowing  readers to understand the relevance of this history to their own daily lives.
